Crystals: Perfect Gifting Items For Every Occasion

When it comes to decorating our homes, we usually prefer materials that attract the attention of everyone, materials that glimmer and shine even in minimal light. This is the primary reason why objects made of crystal are the perfect home decoration items.

Another interesting thing all of us would recall is that crystal items are the perennial favourite for gifting purposes, mainly because they look sophisticated and are adored by everyone. Some famed crystal items which we all would surely have come across are idols of gods, replicas of famous buildings, flowers etc. Apart from all this, crystals are also used for making trophies, feng shui artifacts and jeweleries such as crystal studded pendants or earrings.
A Crystal is composed of atoms, ions or molecules which is arranged in microscopic structure and is solid in nature. It is however characterized by its unit cell which is a small imaginary box consisting of one or two atoms in a spatial arrangement.
Generally, crystal is formed in a regular repeated pattern of molecules and because of this repeated nature, it can easily take any form or structure. Some notable examples are cubical structures and double pyramids to hexagonal and big spires etc.

Usage of Crystal in Ancient History
According to chronological references, the Ancient Sumerians during 4th millennium BC used crystals in their magic rituals. The term crystal is derived from Krustallos, an ancient Greek word that basically means ice.

Some more references to the use of crystals can be found during the ancient Egyptian era, where people used crystals for protection, health as well as for cosmetic purposes. Moreover, almost 5000 years back, crystals were also used for healing purposes in China.

LED Products For A Greener And Brighter Tomorrow

There was a time when people used to worry about their electricity bills, as a considerable amount of money was spent on paying the monthly electricity bill. All of us would remember being instructed by our elders to try hard on minimizing the power usage. Until some years ago, one of the major reasons for higher power bills was the usage of incandescent lights and other power guzzling electrical products.

This scenario has undergone a significant change after LED products have become common. Also, the amalgamation of energy efficiency and eco-friendly nature of LED Products have made them perfectly suited for all living and working spaces. Although a varied range of LED products are available today, we will primarily concentrate on LED Lights here.
Light-emitting diode or LED is a digital light technology that is composed of two-lead semiconductor light source.

The first LED light was designed in the year 1963 by a scientist named Nick Holonyak, who was actually trying to invent such a light that would replace incandescent bulbs. However, LED lights became operational only by the end of 1980s when they were introduced in the traffic lights and in brake lights.

Benefits of LED Lights:-

  • Longer Life Span :- One of the best qualities of LED lights is that they are comparatively much more long lasting than incandescent lights.
  • Reduced Energy Consumption :- In comparison to conventional lighting systems, these lights save around 80 to 90 per cent of the energy, Along with illuminating a particular place using minimal power, LED lights also provide other notable features such as the availability of different color options and multiple designs to give outstanding lighting effects to a place.
  • Flexible Designs :- These can be incorporated with any design. Also, their light could be dimmed and controlled as per requirement.
  • Zero UV Emission :- LED lights are beneficial for goods that are sensitive to heat and thus are suitable for places like museums and art galleries.
  • Works On Low Voltage :- These lights illuminate sufficiently even in cases of low voltage power supply.
Types of LED Products:-

  • LED Street Lights :- These aid riders and drivers etc. to drive smoothly

Hair Extensions: Style Your Hair Like You'Ve Always Wanted To

Hair extensions have universally become a sought-after fashion statement lately. Also known as hair integrations, these are actually additional hair strips or hair wefts used to extend the length of women's hair.
They make your hair look longer and thicker, besides, they are safe for heating style, cutting and dyeing, etc. These extensions are either clipped in or taped in by making the sections or partitions, giving you an instant makeover.

Gone are the days when for the sake of hair growth and volume, women used to apply sundry home-made remedies and waited for weeks or months to get the results. Owing to the availability of a wide range of hair extensions today, women do not have to wait, they can just style their hair the way they have always wished to.

Evolution Of Hair Extensions:

During 3500 BC, Egyptians were seen wearing hair weaves such as natural human hair wigs, sewn-on hair pieces and braids that were made of dyed sheep's wool. For stickiness and the attachment of the extensions into the hair, they used resins and beeswax.

Later in the early 18th century, both men and women used to wear weaves made out of horse hair and frames filled with wool were woven into the natural hair. Then in the 1900s, clip- ins became the norm because they could easily removed. As of today, clip ins and tape ins are still preferred by a large number of hair extension users.

Variances In Hair Extensions:

  • Clip in hair extensions are the temporary solution for women who are looking for easily attachable additional volumisers that neither cause damage to their hair nor pain and instead gives their hair the desired length,
  • Human hair extensions blend in with hair's natural texture and also last longer,
  • Virgin hair extensions are the highest grade of hair extensions, they are highly in demand because they look the most natural of all hair extensions,
  • Synthetic hair extensions are made of artificially processed hair.

Why Go For Hair Extensions:

  • They last for up to 8 to 10 weeks and are easy to maintain, plus, they are the perfect solution for those who dream of longer hair but so far nothing has worked out for them.
  • If you wish to have highlighted hair but fear damage to your hair, then colored hair extensions are ideal for you
Thinning of the hair or in case of hair loss, extensions are a great way to give volume to your hair
  • If you love experimenting with different hairstyles like braids, pony or buns and curls, where extra hair is needed, then using hair extensions is a pretty good idea,
  •  Extensions cause absolutely no damage , unlike what is still believed by any people.

  2. Lap Brake - The brake of the entire train or locomotive is controlled by the main brake which is called the lap brake.
  3. Emergency Brake - In emergency situations the brake that immediately stops the entire train or the locomotive is called emergency brake.
  4. Independent Brake - The own individual brakes of the locomotives which are used to stop the locomotive is called the independent brake.
  • Pantograph - The device that is used to power an electric locomotive by collecting an electric current is known as pantograph. These devices are operated to make a connection with a cable or an electrified overhead wire.
    Locomotive-Pantograph
There are various types of sizes and shapes of pantographs which depend upon the power supply system, power requirements, speed of the train or locomotive etc. The primary parts of a pantograph are lower arm, upper arm and a head. The head is used for current collection which utilizes metalized carbon strips.
  • Coupler:- The locomotives and the rolling stock are connected on a train with the help of a coupler.
    Locomotive-Coupler
These types of couplers include hook with buffers, knuckle, connecting rod or hook and magnetic.
