Types of Coffee Machinery

Coffee Machinery includes the coffee machines that are used in making coffee. These machines are used for brewing coffee based on various types of brewing principles. Generally coffee beans or grounds are placed inside a funnel with a metal filter or paper and this is set over a ceramic or glass coffee pot. Separate chamber is there for pouring cold water which comes to the boiling point by heating and the water is intended to the funnel.

Types

These are different types of Coffee Machinery used for brewing coffee for years. Some of these include-

Vacuum Coffee Maker
Coffee is brewed in vacuum coffee maker utilizing two chambers which have vacuum and vapor pressure to produce coffee. Loeff Berlin invented vacuum coffee maker in the 1830s. These coffee makers are also called siphon or siphon coffee maker or vac pot. Pyrex or borosilicate glass, plastic, metal etc. are used  for making the material of the chamber and the filter can either be screen or a metal rod which is made up of metal, paper, cloth or nylon. The principle of these coffee makers is to heat the lower vessel water until the force is expanded trough the narrow tube to the upper vessel which consists of ground coffee. The heat is removed when all the water has emptied the lower vessel and then the coffee is brewed in the lower part with a strainer.

Coffee Percolator
A coffee percolator is a type of pot which is used in brewing coffee. The water is passed through the coffee grounds and the constituents that are soluble give color, aroma, taste and stimulating properties to the coffee. These coffee percolators are of two types- in one the boiling water is forced through the grounds under pressure into the separate chamber and in the other the boiling cycle continuously goes on till the required strength is achieved utilizing the gravity.

Electric Drip Coffeemakers
In electric drip coffeemakers, the water from the cold water reservoir is admitted using a flexible hose and then passed into the heating chamber or thin metal tube. This metal tube is surrounded by a heating element which is used for heating the water. The siphoning effect and thermally induced pressure is used to heat the water through vinyl riser hose or insulated rubber onto the ground coffee with the help of a spray head. The brew basket contains the ground coffee which is mounted under the spray head. A filter is used to pass the coffee and then the coffee is dripped down the flask.

All types of coffee machines are available online in the shopping carts. One interested in these machines can browse through the web and can directly avail them from the manufacturers.
